R. Thomas Daily:
Tom, our chief financial officer, manages the business
office. Tom is in charge of all receivable and payable
accounts. |
Scott E. Deniston:
Our General Manager, Scott has an extensive knowledge
of plant material and a knack for finding rare and unusual
dwarf conifers and other hard-to-find ornamentals. |
David L. Gindek: David coordinates landscape
sales. He is a landscape designer who has been with Young's
Nurseries over seventeen years. He has designed/constructed
landscapes for many of the areas finer homes. He
has a B.S. in Horticulture from Virginia Tech and holds
an Arborist & Supervisory Pesticide license in the
state of Connecticut |
Thomas P. Kuring:
Thomas manages the growing and digging operations in the
Woodbury field. Thomas has many years of experience in
the nursery field. |
Thaddeus M. Sanford:
As well as serving as our President, Tad is a landscape
designer who services primarily our Woodbury customers.

Harry Meisenholder:
Harry Meisenholder is a landscape designer at Young's,
who also manages the construction of his designs. He has
a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Park
Administration, and has done post graduate work in landscape
architecture and horticulture. He is a member of the Connecticut
Nurseryman's Association and the Professional Grounds
Management Society. In his spare time, Harry enjoys creating
water gardens, sailing, and cross-country skiing. |
Andrew Stewart
Andy is our Garden Center Manager, managing the personnel
and products of the Garden Center. He has an A.S. in Nursery
Management a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture, a Custom
Grounds License, a Landscape Design Certificate, and is
a C.N.A. Accredited Nurseryman. He is a member of the
Connecticut Nurseryman's Association and the New England
Nurseryman's Association. Besides horticulture, Andy likes
hockey, camping and fishing. |
Mary Broadhurst
Mary is a retail sales person, overseeing our perennial
department. Mary holds a B.S. in Biology and a Gardening
Certificate from the New York Botanical Gardens. She belongs
to the International Plant Propagator's Society, the American
Conifer Society, and the New England Wildflower Society.
She enjoys reading, gardening and horseback riding. |
Debbie Caddy
Debbie works in sales, where she specializes in annuals,
tropical house plants, and roses. She is a graduate of
the Connecticut Nurseryman's Association Class, and a
member of the American Horticulture Society. In her spare
time, Debbie enjoys cooking, gardening and working with
computers. |
Mike Garrity:
Mike is our Yard Manager, where he manages nursery stock
and displays in the sales yard. He is a C.N.A.-Accredited
Nurseryman, and a Certified Pesticide Applicator. His
hobbies include skiing, sailing, landscaping, fishing,
and cooking. |
Lorraine Deniston:
Lorraine, who has been with us for 12 years, is in retail
sales, where she manages annuals, tropicals, house plants
and Christmas items. She maintains lavish gardens at home,
in addition to enjoying cooking and knitting. She is a
member of the Connecticut Nurseryman's Association. |
Matt
Brazauskas:
Matt is the Woodbury garden center manager. He is a trained
horticulturist well versed in both plant material and
landscape knowledge. In his spare time he enjoys gardening,
boating and fishing. |
Joe
Verrastro:
Joe is the Assistant Garden Center Manager at the Wilton
location. Joe is currently taking classes in agronomy
and horticulture at the University of Connecticut. His
hobbies include fishing, biking and music. |
Marnie
Aronheim - Rockhill:
Marnie has recently joined Young's Nurseries as perennial
manager, garden sales and design. Marnie has over 10 years
experience in the industry. She studied horticulture at
the University of Connecticut and did course work in design
at the New York Botanical Gardens. Marnie's hobbies include
gardening, cooking and canning. |
