Young's
History
1930
- Young's Nurseries, Inc. was founded by John and David Young.
Later joined by Philip T. Young, it became the premier nursery
and landscape company of Fairfield County.
1970's- Business was sold to Paul Young, Hans Kuring, and
James Fox .
1988- Fifty-four acres of land were purchased in Woodbury,
Connecticut for the purpose of growing more of our own trees
and shrubs because of the demand for larger and higher quality
plant material. We also have a garden center and a landscape
service operation at this location.
June 1, 1997 - Young's Nurseries, Inc. was sold to five long
time employees: Tom Daily, Scott Deniston, Dave Gindek and
Thomas Kuring. Paul Young, Jim Fox and Tad Sanford are now
retired, while Hans Kuring continues to be employed as chief
grower at the Woodbury nursery.
Young's
Nurseries, has been listed as one of the top 100 nurseries
in "Nursery Retail Magazine" for three years. We are dedicated
to supplying our customers with the highest quality and the
most extensive selection of plant material possible.
Young's
