Scott E. Deniston, President:
Scott has an extensive knowledge of plant material and a knack for finding rare and unusual dwarf conifers and other hard-to-find ornamentals. Scott has been with Young’s since 1978. He holds a BS in Ornamental Horticulture from UCONN, is a CT certified Arborist, and a CNLA Certified Nurseryman.

R. Thomas Daily, Vice President / Treasurer / Comptroller:
Tom, our chief financial officer, manages the business office. Tom is in charge of all receivable and payable accounts. He has a BS in Business Administration from University of Scranton, is a Connecticut Nurserymen’s & Landscaper’s Association (CNLA) certified Nurseryman and has been with Young’s since 1981.

David L. Gindek, Vice President / Secretary: David coordinates landscape sales. He is a landscape designer who has been with Young’s Nurseries since 1982. He has designed/constructed landscapes for many of the areas finer homes. He has a BS in Horticulture from Virginia Tech and holds an Arborist & Supervisory Pesticide license in the state of Connecticut. David is also a member of the CNLA (Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association) and CTPA (Connecticut Tree Protective Association)

Lorraine Deniston:
Lorraine, who has been with us for 25 years. She maintains lavish gardens at home, and is experienced in growing orchids and unusual tropicals. She is a member of the Connecticut Nurserymen’s & Landscaper’s Association (CNLA).

Harry Meisenholder:
Harry Meisenholder is a landscape designer at Young’s, who also manages the construction of his designs. He has a BS in Business Administration and an MS in Park Administration, and has done post graduate work in landscape architecture and horticulture. He is a member of the Connecticut Nurserymen’s & Landscaper’s Association (CNLA) and the Professional Grounds Management Society.

Carrie Ricciardi
Store Manager Carrie Riccardi has been a green industry professional for 25 years. She is a Floral Designer, and serves as Buyer in Annuals, Tropicals, Giftware and Christmas merchandise, and is charged with keeping Garden Center displays looking New and Interesting!

Chuck Storey:
Chuck is a member of our sales staff and is responsible for the ordering of all hard goods. He is a master gardener and has many years of nursery experience.

Samantha Giordano:
Sam serves as Garden Center Sales & Landscape Contact Liaison, and has a dual BS in Horticulture and Turfgrass, and Soil Science. She has been with Young’s for six years, an has recently returned after obtaining her Masters of Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University. She is knowledgeable about annuals, perennials, grasses, trees & shrubs, and is a CNLA Accredited Nursery Professional, and an AOLCP accredited organic land care professional.

Deb Rauh:
Deb is a Connecticut Artist, an exhibiting member of The Rowayton Art Center and The Westport Art Center. She is a chef of 30 years, and avid gardner for over 35 years and is one of our experts in annuals and perennials.

Debbie Caddy:
Debbie has been with Young’s for over 15 years. She is our office and inventory manager but has held many positions and responsibilities over the years.

Gary Peterkin:
Gary is our yard manager and outdorr salesman. He prides himself in being able to find what people need and offering advice when customers need sound advice.

Matt Brazauskas:
Matt is one of our Woodbury landscape designers. He is a trained horticulturist well versed in both plant material and landscape knowledge.

Mike Garrity:
Mike is Woodbury’s General Manager where he manages nursery stock and displays in the sales yard. He is a Connecticut Nurserymen’s & Landscaper’s Association (CNLA) accredited Nurseryman, and a Certified Pesticide Applicator.

Marnie Aronheim:
Marnie graduated from UCONN with a BA in Urban Studies. She has also studied horticulture at UCONN and landscape design at The New York Botanical Gardens. She is an accredited nurseryman with over twenty years of experience in the green industry.

Hans Kuring:
Hans Kuring manages our 55 acres of field inventory in Woodbury, CT. He has been with the company for over 50 years and has a Horticulture degree from Germany. His plant knowledge is second to none and is always excited to talk about plants to any that has an interest.
